So there's me, sad fat 36 year old one legged balding ginger know it all, riding along on my magestic metallic pink scooter.  Countless bikes had i passed in the fortnight since acquiring the pink one and not a single nod or even awkward glance.  No thumbs up at lights and no envious gazes at junctions.  Oh the lonliness of the long distance scooterist.

Then, on the way home from work, like a miracle, a passing blade rider tipped me the knowing sidewys nod of a fellow motorcyclist!

If that was you then good for you mate, top geezer - really cheered me up I can tell ya.

I admit I nod to the odd scooterist-just to see them wobble off into the distance, trying to take it all in-I mean if I'm only doing 70, its got to look like 120 on a scooter hasnt it?
Going slightly off topic, I seem to have found a middle ground with the cruiser in that most peeps I nod/wave to return the gesture-plastics, scooters & cruisers alike (not harley riders obviously)
When I'm on the bruiser its only other sportsbike riders that acknowledge me in general-funny old world innit?
I left out BMW riders cos I just REFUSE to acknowledge their existance any more.

I hope you're setting a good example for these youngsters and are wearing your leathers.

When are you getting the trumpet back.
