Doe's anyone know where I can get hold of a cheap bike in the leeds (w yorks) area?
I'm talking a real nail here coupla hundred quid tops.
just something to get me to work and back without looking a twonk, 50cc is out as I'm 6'2 you get the idea really, don't want to look like a drum on a pea.
Runner would be nice but beggars can't be choosers.
would really appreciate any help anyone can give.

No Imageica isn't my real name, picked it up from a Clive Barker novel I read and loved.
Scotland sounds nice this time of year but alas no trailer at least nothing I can use over that kind of distance safely!

cheers Dave I'll get something sorted before the decent weather starts in earnest there's usually something going in the local free ads missed an rd 350 by ½hr last week could have kicked myself.

keep an awkward eye on ebay. Notmany cheap 'bargains' but evrynow and then you see something worth having.  You could have had my vf or gippo 500.

Saw a vt500 recently that went for £300 in bradford.  No good to you now I know but it shows that there are some deals about!

You're on the right track with the free papers M8- a guy I know got a 650 nighthawk  for £100 -non runner-replaced a fuse & flogged it for £500-result or what.


I know of a U.S import 400 superdream(wheres the sick smilies when you want one) going for about £500 up here in Newcastle.

Dont know what its like in Leeds but £200 wont get you much in a breakers up here never mind a whole bike.
Not that I'm trying to put you off you understand.

Free ads seems to be the way to go like i say missed the Rd last week for 150 quid likewise a cx 500 for a ton (price not weight although not much in it i'll bet)
Theres also ad trader on the net useful for bikes spares and kit
