Just been for a burn on the sv and come across several Ducati's(well heard actually) whilst stopped having a brew so i headed in the direction they were heading at which point we arrived at the Manchester Ducati Center which seemed to be having some sort of promotion day for the 999 with test rides and buffet laid on.
This bike looks stunning in the flesh compared to photos I've seen ,the fuel tank is a work of art but how efficient are the headlights?
now then I must speak to the bank manager nicely :D :D

Free rides on a Ducati. :O
If the Ducati dealers can do it, why can't the rest do the same. Trying to organise a test ride can be a pain in the ass sometimes.
I asked for a test ride on a bike from MCS Renfrew one day. The said they'd hire the bike to me for £75 for the day and refund the money, if I bought the bike. :sus:
I took my money elsewhere.

Too right too! I've had no problem organising test rides this week, one asked for copy of licence and insurance form to be signed with £750 excess if I dropped it, another asked to keep my licence and credit card and the final one just took photocopy of my licence and asked me how long I'd be and can I put a couple of quids worth of petrol in if it looks like its gonna run out. All of them also had my bike and keys as they were valuing it for part ex.
Any dealer that won't do test rides deserves to lose the business.

Alvin's (Edinburgh) have had a 999 demo bike since they came out. Think they want a £1000 deposit on this and GSXR1000 for test ride, as someone binned the GSXR1000 on a test last year.
Other than that - standard £1000 excess
