The measurement you want to worry about is the rim size.  As long as that is the same you can fit them.  Cant really say what effect there would be on handling but you're speedo will over read if you decrease the circumference of the front tyre.  As they're both 70% of the width and the width is reduced on the new replacements you will read faster than you are actually going - by how much I have no idea!  As you are also going to reduce the circumference of the rear tyre then the whole bike will sit 5 mill or so lower than it did before so maybe it will steer quicker?
Anyhoo so long as the rim size is the same you shouldn't encounter too many probs I wouldnt think.

Hi CC, welcome and I hope you hang around. It's always nice to see new folk on the forum.  :buttrock:

Not a rubber expert but I'll pass on the knowledge I do have.

The 120 bit refers to the approx width of width of the tyres in millimeters. The 70 part is the height of the tyre as a percentage of the width. So that would be 70% of 120mm. The 17 part is the diameter of the wheel in inches. If I remember it all correctly. So a 120/70 will be narrower and have a lower profile, than a 130/70. What difference it would make to the bike, I'm not sure.

The CB1300 has been around for a while and is available on import, so I would think that the tyre manufacturers will have some rubber for it. A lot of the manufacturers web sites will recommend tyres for a bike, even if they do not match the exact size. So if you've got a manufacturer for you tyres in mind. Like bridgestone for instance. Then it would probably be worthwhile contacting them either by email or phone and asking for advice on which tyres to choose.

A std dunlop 207, 120,70,17 measures in at 130, 70,17. if your rear rim is a 5.5 inch rim then you can put on a 180,55,17, wich will measure at 188 and give you an overall height to within 1 o2 2 mill of the original tyre size.

If anyone from Bridgestone cops this, Scoey says hello
