I have just fitted a new exhaust to the suzi after the old one disintegrated in a cloud of dust. I had to remove the centre stand to make it fit but....

I need a new front tyre and can't figure out how to support the bike without the centre stand?? cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Please help, urgent fcrossed.gif fcrossed.gif fcrossed.gif

not ideal , but something like a milk crate under the engine, might do you at a push. failing that, can you a tleast put the main stand back on whilst you remove the front wheel?

front paddock stand seems about the easiest method.

Got it! grin.gif

block ether side of frame and a big ratchet strap from the grab bar down to the ground

Im sure the rear shocker doesn't like it but the front wheel is in the air!

The centre stand won't fit unless I take off the front pipes and I don't want to do that as it took me hours to get them gas tight, they are off a gsxr 750, not a huge difference in fitting (nothing that a blow torch and a hammer didn't fix devil1.gif )

fcrossed.gif I might get to ride it someday rolleyes.gif

now thats what i call engineering!

all you need now is for jnr to wander in & touch it ever so gently............

seriously tho.. its amazing what you can do with a bit of string & a fairy liquid bottle.

now the exhaust is soo quiet i can hear all the rattles from the engine!

Make yourself a small ramp (brick and a plank, or just bricks) ride the bike up the plank (front wheel only ) make sure you have blocks placed so you can stabilise with your feet, keep it there with the rear brake then get a mate to put axel stands or bricks or milk crate under the lower frame rails/engine, remove ramp drop wheel out etc.

you can get a front paddock stand on ebay for like £20 including postage.
