Me pride n joy went up the spout today, no sparks, being a grey import meant that it has to go back to the supplier for warranty work, no probs I'm in the RAC, pay the twonks 180 quid per year for the doogies do dah service been with them since 1990 only ever made a handfull of calls for minor problems.

Rings them up at 1.10 pm today, sorry sir its busy be 1.5 to 2 hrs, I tells them the bike is a cruiser type and weighs in at 900lbs is near enough 10 ft long and needs a proper trailer or equiped vehicle, ok sir no problem, Ha Ha Ha, I calls them back 2.5 hours later 'wheres the recovery truck?' pisses about a bit waiting for 2 mins, operator says sorry but there will be another delay of 1 hour as the truck is on its way from a previous job. 4.10 pm calls them back again this time irate, 'wheres the truck' sorry sir it should be with you by 4.30, 4.45 calls them again WHERE IS THE TRUCK, just launching into my tirade at the twonks when truck shows up, guess what, the wrong truck arrived, no facility for my bike, platform covered in oil and a bloody tilt n slide loading on it, silly bugger operator says he will have to dismantle some of my fairings, LIKE F**K says I. Then the truck operator says he will have to come back in the morning with the other truck as it has a proper carrying frame on it and its at their Bradford Depot which is 800 yds away from where the bike is. Guess who went ape s**t with RAC.

The contact company for the RAC in Bradford is called T F Smiths they are crap, tatty wagons, they recovered a van for my mate and ripped the axle off of it by dragging it over a curb edge, they recovered my daughters car last november and damaged that plus they took 3 weeks longer than they said they would to repair it, they recovered a bike to one of my other freinds shops and damaged that and its taken 7 months to get compensation for it from them.

I'v gien the RAC until 9 am tomorrow, if its not on the way to Wigan by then they are coughing up for someone else to take it. I have had a few complaints made to me about the RAC including one from a follow BMF regional chairman who's Blackbird was damaged, now I've experienced it first hand I will be going else where for my recovery service. veryangry.gif

Its not too bad here, you get real RAC men.  :O I've only used them once and that was years ago. He couldn't fix the problem but I was lucky enough that a mate's dad was an AA man. He ended up fixing it for me.

RAC eventually recovered my bike to the dealers 24 hours after I called it in, same stupid RAC contactors again turned out this morning with a trailer 1ft too short, Fecking dimwits, I would strongly advise that if you have RAC cover and require their services make damn sure the do not send T F Smiths out to you.     veryangry.gif

It doesn't sounds suprising, that you lost the rag with them.

They sound like a right bunch of cowboys.  :verysad:
