Personally I wouldn't buy an open face..

My girlfriend has the caberg justissimo (flip front) which I have to say is very smart... if you want open face I would think about a flip front mate..

I have the caberg justissimo, excellent helmet. Very quiet, even compared to most full face helmets. Comfortable and well made. Can't go wrong. (the chin bar can even be removed to convert it to an open face).

another thumbs up for the Caberg grin.gif

Roof is a good one - has a chin piece but it's not heavy so doesnt get affected by the wind as much as the justissimo. Arai make a standard open face with a full visor - gold label even ooh2.gif
I recommend trying them on, same as the full face lids the fit varies, I can wear the arai but not (unfortunately) the Roof and I really wanted one cry.gif

I've got a Caberg flip up which I don't use any more. I was not impressed with the quality, the visor and the flip front kept comming loose and the action felt rough and awkward compared to my Vemar.

I am tempted by the latest Caberg flips though, with the built in sun visor. More convenient than taking shades on and off all day. Anyone got one?

flys in the eyes sad1.gif and something trying to crawl in my ear sad1.gif

i got a flip lid , only thing i dont like (apart from insects) is the flip can act like a kite or push ur head back in windy conditions as the chin+visor acts as a wind breaker.

yeasterday i was very glad i had visor down, hit a bee at 50 sounded like someone catapulted a stone in my face sad1.gif "if visor was up i would of had a black eye smile1.gif "

I know my knowledge is very limited rolleyes.gif but I do have a Caberg Justisimmo, brilliant lid beer.gif .
Was considering converting it to Open face but after reading about the bee at 50mph mad1.gif will leave it as it is.

I bought a Takachi a few weeks back, a local shop has just started selling them. Never heard of them, but the latch mechanism on my flip front packed up the wrong side of pay day, so needed a cheap one in a hurry. ACU gold badge, very light, no wind noise, excellent visibility, nice visor mounts. Can't fault it so far. 40 quid!

I bought a System helmet once, a Shoei thing can't remember the model name but I cost me roughly £250 I think.
It lasted only a few months as I walked into a shop with the chin piece up. (I'm 6'5") Smashed it completely off.
I was quite relieved really as I hated the thing!

I now use an open faced Churchill.
Full faced Shoei for the Winter. (I can't wear open faced whilst riding in Heavy rain/hail stones/sleet as it feels like being machine gunned in the face)
