hi fellows,
as you might know from my other post im doing my dissertation about innovations in bikes, and in the Haynes repair manuals (at the very begining) there is an article of the history of the brand. All the repair manuals of a certain brand share this article, no matter which models the book is about. That means any repair manual of any Honda, Suzuki or BMW would be valid. I already have the Haynes manuals of a Yamaha and Kawa.
If any of you has a Haynes manual of any Honda or Suzuki or BMW i would be great if you could scan those 3 or 4 pages for me, (or even take a picture with the digital cam if you dont have scanner) cause the information there is very helpful.
thanks

This is from a GS 1000 manual circa 1981 if it's any use?

that was nice of you, some good info about the GS. but its more focused on that particular model, perhaps thats because your manual is a bit older, in the manuals of current bikes theres a 3 or 4 page history of the brand.
Got these....
Kwak GPZ600/750/900
Yam RD250/350 LC
Yam FZR600/750/1000
BMW K75/100/1100
Honda CB900
Hodna CB125
Any good to you ?

ravin,
yes those are great, one for each brand is enough, say FZR, the CB900 and the BMW. Dont worry about the kwak, i already have the Gpz book. Its the very first few pages, the Introduction in chapter 0 that talk about the brand´s history.
btw, i have the Haynes repair manual of your bike the Tomcat, if u ever need to consult the book let me know and ill scan it.
Cool, i dont have the ZX10 manual, with any luck i wont need it for some time, but i will bear that in mind. Tomcat... LOL i think that is a cool name, only used in the USA i belive.
I will scan the pages when i gat a chance, how soon do you need them?

This site -
http://www.suzukicycles.org - has details on all Suzuki models since day 1. There may be some company history on there, I've never looked for that sort of thing.

i dont wanna rush you, do it when u can, if posible for tomorrow if u can, cause im already writing the dissertation.
btw, the ZX 10 was maybe not named the Tomcat in Europe, but many people know it as the Tomcat (name taken from the F-14 war plane), i learnt that at the forum www.zx1112.bigbikeworld.com).

thanks for the interest.
I dont need the whole manual though, just the 4 pages about the company history in the introduction of the Haynes manuals. but if yours isnt a Haynes dont worry then.
I asked it to see if Portius saw it, because he said he wasnt to give it to me
