Hello Haitham,

thank you for your interest. Herewith I send to you the pictures of the motorbike. As mentioned already in the ad, the price is SR 7000.-. There will be some additional expences due to the transfer of ownership. The condition of the bike is very good (it has some normal scratches due to biking).

We can set up an appointment so that you can check the bike (I live in XXXXX). You can reach me at home at the phone-nr. XXXXXXXXX.

Best regards

Hello Haitham,

Yes, the bike is road-legal and it have its  licence plates, but the plastic that holds it was broken as you can note in the pic of the rear side. The bike is a 600cc, year 1998 and the tires are in good condition: the front one is still the original, and the rear one I changed resently as the oil filter and oil as well.

Best regards

Looks like a bargain to me, assuming it runs well. They're excellent off roaders, nice grunty engine, they've been around a long time as a series and have a good reputation for reliability and build quality. I'd expect to pay 2 - 3 times that for one here!

You could always supermotard it, they wheelie really well cool2.gif

thanks ...

what do you mean supermotard it??

and do you have any idea on customs charges - maybe i'll bring it over next time i come if its really worth it ... maybe ill bring a few coz by our standards this one is expensive - you can get a good suzuki 250 or 400 for half that price ...

Supermotard - basically, have the wheels rebuilt on 17" rims, as wide as will fit, and put sticky road tyres on it. Instant fun, a road bike on sticky tyres that wheelies and stoppies soooo easily, they're light so tend to have good handling as well. Urban terrorist machine . . .

sounds like bags of fun ... its the weight of my GSXF that stops it from wheelying properly ... i can only get half a metre or so (the R1 is a different story, though) ...... but i havent tried stoppies cuz im a coward ... but i suppose if I learn on something like this that can be dropped i might have enough confidence to try it on the R1 ....

that bloke to the right of the bike in the last picture-
needs a bit of sustinance if you ask me. grin.gif

I believe these bikes can suffer from severe cam wear and also wear out the head
where the cams run, not 100% sure but have seen several comments on them.

I used to own a 500XLR when this planet was green and the skies were blue and
people loved each other, its was a great bike and severed me well until it got
nicked one night on a visit to a friend

Cheers

Nice looking bike by the way Ninja grin.gif

yeah i thought so too ....... didnt buy it (yet) though...

not that I have decided to .... but I havent decided not to yet ...

thing is I bought 2 bikes and an AGV helmet and a new graphics card and a new hard disk in the last 3 months, the R1 really being the bank account killer... I hate loans and the idea of spending money thats not mine so i will never borrow to buy a luxury item .... and a third bike is not necessary, but would be nice ...

you see, just as summer is the biking season in UK, in Saudi Arabia you can only really go off road in the winter as its not hot ... (unless u want to go out at night, which you dont) ... so to buy it right now will mean i have to sell my GSXF ... but i like that bike and I dont want to commute on my R1 ... soooooo i guess ill have to wait till payday ... if its not sold then ill consider myself lucky ...

plus its a good thing its got all the gear with it ... i dont need to buy anything extra ... even has a cover ...

anyway thank alot for all your comments its really appreciated ....
