I'm jettin off to t'Costa Del Sol on Tuesday and gonna hire a bike for at least a few daze. The choices include Honda Shadow 600 and 750, Divvy 600, TransAlp and Pan European. I'm used to mi CBR but fancy misel up and down the front on a cruiser but I'm worried I might find the Shadow hard to ride with the different riding and gear pedal position. Anyone out there with experience on the Shadow who could give us a steer on which bike to go for?

Ta in advance

its not that difficult going from a sports bike to a cruiser-i have both & it doesnt cause me any probs.

the transalp is a good all rounder-have you seen the minor roads over there?

i'd be going for the 750 shad myself-bit more poke than the 600

the pan will be uncomfortable, due to the warm clime & the heat rising up from the engine
my heart bleeds for you grin.gif swivel.gif

Yeah go for the 750 Shadow. I jumped off my Exup 1000 onto the Max and had no probs converting. In fact, I reckon the Max/cruiser riding position feels more natural anyway.

And besides, the Shadow will look cool2.gif

I rode DP's cruiser for a few hours. It was the first time I'd been on one. It was pretty good but when I first sat on it, I tried to lean forward. It just wasn't working until I realised that I had to lean back more. After that there were no problems. buttrock.gif
