I've been bored of late-& when I get bored I start thinking about changing bikes/buying more bikes. cool2.gif

So, I may be getting a company bike-which means the VN could be surplus to requirements.
I've grown to love the cruiser over the last 2 months-but TBH it was only ever a winter "hack".

Since getting the stainless pipes made for it, I started thinking about a more full on "custom" bike-the guy who made the pipes builds quite spectacular chops- & I know where a ratty 750 honda is looking for a new home.
If I sell the VN, the money from that would get me a radical made to measure chop rolling chassis-which I could then spend hours in the garage painting & fitting up.
I quite like the idea of a proper chop-cos I've never had one!
Obviously I would still have the ZZR.
Is this a mid life crisis?
Would you all still speak to me if I went & did it?

Bikes are like everything in life mate - if it makes you happy then go for it.  Chop the vn and show us the results - i reckon if you're invloved then it will look the nuts.

How about being really radical?

By now someone must have crashed one of the new superscoots - Honda Silverwing, Burgervan, Yam whateveritis.

How about a chopped one of them?

Be a bit different, eh?

Zomb, thanks for the compliment-it has been suggested chopping the VN-but I kinda like the idea of a 4cyl chop.
Horse, I may be having a mild mid life crisis-but chopping a burgervan/silverwing/majesty?
I've ridden a burgervan(oh sh!t now everyone knows) & I dont think extending the wheelbase would help-then again it couldnt make it any worse could it? food for thought though grin.gif

DP has ridden a burgervan

I suppose it would be okay. I'm not a chop fan myself but I can appreciate the work that goes into them. It wold be an experience and at least you would know that you had a one off.

If you want it and you can get it. Then I would go for it. Life is too short to worry about regretting not doing it.
