just been reading the latest MCN

in a section labeled RIDING SKILLS

they have

"Revealed: The secrets of pulling great wheelies"

is it me or am i the only one who thinks that a 2 page spread showing you how to pull a wheelie is abit irresponsible?? It gives those MP's who'd like to ban bikes more ammunition against  us.. Or even worse some youngster might think it would be a good idea to try out what he's just read and end up killing themselves??

one of my pet hates is to read certain bike mags that have to have a picture showing a bike doing wheelie on every other page..  As MCN is probably the biggest selling bike publication, should or shouldn't they be publishing such articles??

discuss please

I agree but then again, my biggest wheelie was 2" off the ground.  :eyebrow:

Maybe the public perception of bikers isn't helped by such mags. We always say that we're not all headcases but for someone from the outside, its hard to tell. Bikers doing mad things seem to be everywhere.

You only have to go over to Loch Lomond on a Sunday morning during the summer week and you'll see folk doing more damage, than all the mags put together. I know cos I'm one of them.
