I'm with Carol Nash. I used to be with Mitchell & Partners until last year. I phoned CN for a quote, which turned out higher than M & P. As, I tried to make my excuses and hang up, they started cutting all sorts of money off of the premium. I ended up with breakdown cover, ride other motorcycle cover, european cover and a low first installment. All for lower than the quote from M & P.  ooh2.gif

I suppose the only time I'll know how good they are, is if I ever have to make a claim but so far, they've been okay.

I pay around £200 for TPFT on the vfr.

So have you found any insurance companies, which you'd recommend.

For bike insurance, I've never had to make a claim, so that's the time when you find out how good they really are. I've had some weird quotes in that I remember getting a Norwich Union policy from Hanson & Robertson that was the same policy as Norwich Union and Norwich Union Direct tried to sell me, but for £80 more ......

I'm with Bennetts just nowm but the policy I had with Carol Nash for a few years was probably better. You pay your money and keep your fingers crossed.

Im with equity red star through the AA.  £90 tpf&t on the sprint but it was extortionate on the ZZR11 at a £101!

Now that's a bargain! I was wondering how you managed to get such cheap insurance, then I realized that with over 57,000 posts registered you might actually be that old ......

I'm with Carole Nash-(not the same company as BD-mines spelt with an e-spell it right BD & they may give you a bigger discount grin.gif )

No probs so far, around £300 for the ZZR & the VN-seperate policies-didnt trust me with a joint policy cos the ZZR quote "has a hooligan reputation"
Perhaps if I remembered to tell them of my Advanced & DSA qualifications blush21.gif  I may have got it cheaper grin.gif

I'm with Carole Nash.

Of course I have everything on my side - my age, my postcode, the age of my bikes, the fact they have no fancy plastic stuff and that they're not desirable candidates for theft.

But I think it's still not bad to insure 3 bikes - GT550, 400 Superdream, Yam RXS100 - including full European breakdown cover, riding other bikes, legal cover - for £130.

That's with an accident in '98 still counting against me....

im with carole nash too.  tryed bennets when my premium on the sv650 was due and they quoted me a figure, then when i phoned them up to take up the offer the price suddenly changed and went up!   so back to carole nash.. abit of... "well so and so can do it cheaper...  bullsh!t ... bullsh!t.. bulsh!t.."    then they reduced the price and gave me interest free installments...   grin.gif  i havent had to claim as yet but you do get a good deal with free breakdown cover etc.

im 29 and got 2 years no claims.. ( they dont except 10 years on a classic bike poilicy with them aswell, so when i got my rgv250 i had to start again! .. bugger!)

my TT600 was around £300 tpft
