Given the bike a going over today and noticed that I still have two rows of moulding bobbles on the front tyre (IYKWIM)

which I guess means that
A) I'm a wuss
B) The D207s will allow the bike to lean a lot further than the MEZ4s would before getting to the edge
C) I haven't tried as hard with these tyres on.

fairly sure C is not so - so I need lessons in un-wussing myself.  and education in getting the bike leant further over without sh!tting myself

I'd favour A myself  :D

Seriously though when did you fit them?  If it's in the last 2-3 months then I'm not surprised and with the slippy conditions out there its not advisable to be pushing too hard anyway.  After all they don't call you 3-rex for nothing now do they  :p .  Or are you after an excuse to get that viffer?

had the back on for a while nowguess September/October
front is a bit newer but still no feckin excuse.

You missed out option D.

Ie, your riding's improved and you take better lines enabling you to go faster round bends without resorting to leaning motre than is necessary.

Or option E.

ie, the profile of the tyres keeps the front tyre in the tread patch while the back is almost off the rim.  weight is at the front and so manufacturers are quite clever at figuring out the right profiles to  maintain the best grip on the smaller contact patch.

I run bt020's and th back is on the edge but the front is a good 3/4 inch from the edge.

persoanlly i never worry about chicken strips as i cant see them when i ride and if anyone else is interested in my chicken strips they will get a good chance to study them as i overtake them! devil1.gif

Yip, same here. I never get near the edge on the front tyre, while the rear is right to the edge. Which is nice.  :eyebrow:

You joke about sand paper, there was GENUINELY a post on bikenet i think it was some time ago about which was the best grade of sandpaper for taking the chicken strips down.

On other forums ive been on there are questions and advice every summer about chicken strips.  I dont wory about them unless they seem to show the wheels are out of alignment.

By that i mean an eliptical chicken strip on a round tyre. - close to the edge at the top and bottom and an inch off on the sides ( bike stationary obviously!)
