You missed out option D.
Ie, your riding's improved and you take better lines enabling you to go faster round bends without resorting to leaning motre than is necessary.
Or option E.
ie, the profile of the tyres keeps the front tyre in the tread patch while the back is almost off the rim. weight is at the front and so manufacturers are quite clever at figuring out the right profiles to maintain the best grip on the smaller contact patch.
I run bt020's and th back is on the edge but the front is a good 3/4 inch from the edge.
persoanlly i never worry about chicken strips as i cant see them when i ride and if anyone else is interested in my chicken strips they will get a good chance to study them as i overtake them!
