Full Version: Time for a big bike

Well the time has come. No longer shall i be seen with big L plates on my bike.

Today i went and bought my bike. I Have bought a KTM Duke 620 LTD edition.

Tomorrow i have my theory for the first time. I have been told the bike theory is harder than the car theory from quite a few people with both licenses.

I Have bought a DSA pack with 5 practise papers in them, and done both the practise papers on the DSA web site, but i have failed in finding a good hazard perception CD. If anyone knows of a decent place i can download one then i shall give you a free baloon!

Freedom is upon me, no longer shall i be classed as a 'tosser on a scooter'. Good bye 30mph and welcome to the world of 33 BHP !

Good luck with the theory and enjoy the bike.

I bought my sister this for her 17th birthday but found myself using it a lot in preparation for my bike theory!!

It has a stack of official questions for the multiple choice section and lots of hazard perception clips...

It also has a very good learning environment where you can track your progress and things... I would recommend it without a doubt.

Good luck Jaffa you will be fine.

Relax and click on all possible hazards like kids walking down the street someone looking to cross a road cars pulling out etc etc it really is easier than you think only thing you need to watch out for is clicking rhythimically because they class it as cheating and its easily done because the test does get a bit boring and you can get into a trance like state! So keep giving yourself a slap now and again!

Nope.

Mind you, it comes with experience anyway. It's just surviving until you have that experience that's the problem.

So you have the advantage really - make good use of it. wink1.gif

Well as it happens every day I ride my bike or drive my car I'm in the middle of a hazard perception test that if I get wrong could be a darn sight more painful than the one you are referring to. Just remember passing the test isn't the end it is just the beginning!

I Passed! With flying colours too! 34 out of 35 on the questions, and 67 out of 75 on the hazard perception!

I am so happy, i have my first 4 hour lesson on friday, so hopefully i will have my nice pink license soon!
