I almost forgot to mention, when I was out the other day, I noticed a huge billboard ad for Triumph. It certainly caught my eye.
Looks like triumph are going for it big style, if they're prepared to put their money into advertising, as opposed to relying on the bike press, like all the others seem to do.

Aye, I noticed that too. They've had a big shake up and now that the factory's back in action, it's all go there.

Good luck to them is all I can say. More people seem to be buying Triumphs every year.

Not I, but I am available to accompany you to the "local" dealer should the weather be half decent and you can talk some other mug into spoon feeding your bread snatcher.
Show 'em what a real bike should sound like :p

The sprint RS is bloody good bike, IMHO.
I had a go on my pals, quite a few time before his accident. The thing always felt as if it was stuck to the road. Then he bought Pirellis. :O

BD, I take it you are inferrring that the Pirellis were a contributing factor in your pal's accident?
I've stuck with Bridgestones on my last couple of bikes, and had nothing else on the Sprint I've got. Yeah, they are not cheap, and yeah they don't last as long as Macadams, but you know where they are - especially in the wet, and the last time I was out there, we get a lot of "wet" in Scotland! :p
Hope your pal wasn't hurt by the way. Kind of remiss of me to not mention that before now.

Yip, after he changed to the Pirellis, he was never happy in the wet. He mentioned that they used to slide without warning and without pushing them too hard. Good for the dry but pish in the wet, which is not so good in these parts. :(
He got away with only bumps and bruises but the bke was a bit of a mess. The engine took most of the damage.

I never buy anything else but Bridgestones.
Tried a few others in the past but none of them came close to the confidence inspiring 010s. 020s are excellent too, just a bit harder wearing in the middle.
Bloody Trumpet owners, they don't arf bang on a bit
