Im quite new to biking and i am looking for my first bike.

Can anyone help me by telling me whether the cheap price on imports are woth it or whether it is better to get a normal bike.

For example:

A brand new HONGDOU CG 125 can be picked up for around the £500 mark on places like ebay, whereas a real honda CG would be found used for the same sort of price.

Is it a good option to buy a HONGDOU or will other cost like insurance and depreciation cancel out the benifits. Also how do these bikes compare in performance to the Honda

Thanks in advance!!!

PS can anyone provide me with some information on the Honda CBZ125 as i cant find anything about it. Thanks

I don't know much about this, but from what I have read in other posts on here on similar topics, I think your main problem with imports is getting parts..... rarer than rockinghorse sh!t so I hear grin.gif

Wouldn't worry about parts, the importer will help you if that arises, parts are probably the same as the Honda anyway?

I asked pretty much the same question here

With that advice in mind (trust me, these people know what they are talking about!) I have decided to get myself a second hand CG125 as soon as money allows. There are quite a few on eBay, and even the 2001/02 models sometimes close around the £750 mark, so I'm sure it would be will be worth saving up the extra couple of hundred quid.

Good luck with your search!
