It was dry mid afternoon so Jen & I went out down to the coast.stopped at the viewpoint at Tynemouth & Jen tried the VN for size-I can see the arguments starting if she ever takes her test grin.gif
we only went a few miles but what we did was good.
I briefly thought of taking the bike out later & spending midnight miles from anywhere-but a commitment to Stella & the fact that it was wet & frosty by 9AM somehow changed my mind. grin.gif

why some of you may have been sitting at home with old relatives and watching some repeat on  tv, where was i  you ask?

Out on my bike of course.. and it was fecking great!!! grin.gif

hardly anyone about, clear roads ( there all at home ya see!), no roadworks, a dry evening with fairly dry roads.. what more could you ask for?

remembering billy conellys quote " there no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes" i donned my new cordura jacket and trousers, made sure i had a fleece collar on to stop the chill and went out for about 2 hours. I rode down to the coast on some on my favorite roads.. nice and fast with sweeping bends, zombie knows it well  :wink1.gif:

By the time i got to the seafront my fingers were starting to get numb, so a quick stop at a roadside cafe for a cuppa and to view .. or should i say listen to the waves crashing on the shore. Who needs redbull?? this is all you need to relax body and mind  :laughcont:

Then a nice ride back again, with dry roads i had a chance to flick the tt600 about abit and boy does it hold the road well. Oh and when the streetlights disapeared and i put the lights onto high beam  halleluja!! seriously thats the thought that went through my mind.. i thought it had turned daylight! absolutly great lights

With a nice dry road i thought id try the brakes abit more.. i just gradually squeezed the lever more and more untill i  had the back wheel skipping   ooh2.gif  much more powerful than the sv's i can tell ya! ( hint to zombie not to ride too close hehe ) I  wont be braking that hard very often, it's just nice to know how quickly your bike can stop safely.

Anyway after that i had a smooth ride back home, and now ive put my feet up watching  the biker roadshow on discovery home and leisure and having a well earned glass of baileys and some chocolate wink1.gif

oh btw i would've rather been out partying but as i wasnt i thought that was the next best thing   smile1.gif
