And whats the 1st thing we do if we get into a skid?

Ive watched that film loads of times now and Im convinced he is off the white line when the front locks and tucks in.  I reckon he was just braking too hard on the front whilst changing direction.  i suppose he's at least honest with himself in that he admits the most likely cause of the off was his own 'inattentiveness'.  I like that, when people can see fault in themselves that is, following a crash.  A good deal of the time crashes can be down to poor riding or panic caused by not looking far enough ahead.

One of my favourite sayings is 'if we cannot see our own faults we are condemned to perpetuate our mistakes'.

Bike crash

Check out the above.  It shows how easy it is to ditch your pride and joy.  pause it before the inevitable and scrutinise the speedo - he's not going very fast at all.  he blames the white line but the road looks nice and dry and Im sure his front wheel is oof the white line when it tucks in.  I think it's simple hamfistedness on the front brake but is a good example of how easy it is to do.

There's a good link on his page too that leads to more bike crash videos.

:buttrock: Me sir, me sir..

Start crying and think of the soon to arrive pain, to wallet and body. Or release the front brake.

Which is easier said than done.

Guilty as charged, boss sad1.gif  Doesn't mean the taxi was right to stop without warning 70 yards behind the next car in the traffic jam.
