Never used/seen it,
Is it for general winter protection?
Are you planning to coat the bike & store it?

Here we are good people

http://www.scottoiler.com/fs365.htm

Looks like good sheet.

I've got some so while my steed is in pristine condition I shall be applying same. rolleyes.gif

Yeah but apparently it stays in all the wee nooks and crannies that you can't always get to and when you reapply it neutralises the salt.

Andy from Gericke in Glasgow has his Mille covered in it and swears by it. Then he would, he's the shop manager Oo1.gif  :sus:

wd40

I was in the HG shop today (looking at Alpinestar) - and the guy - not Andy - was attempting to persuade me to BOGOF.

He used it on his bike - and swears blind it's good stuff!

I'll buy mine in January.
essex_biker
i dont use it on my fairings, just on engine and wheels etc ,normallly with a rag. ive heard that it softens rubber so i normally keep away from anything like that or stuff with o-rings etc. i swear blind by the stuff , never had any problems with it myself.

i cleaned my plastic hugger with the stuff for 2 years and it never affected it
Falcoholic
The water based stuff, spray it on, the water evaporates and leaves an protective oily film on yer bike.

Anyone used it?

Anyone got any views on it?

Is it any good?
bikerdave
I haven't seen that. Is it new.
Falcoholic
Yes it's new on the market and it's not just for storing your bike. Apparently you should use it all year round.

I'm orf to see if I can find some info.
Barra
But,

The bumf says you should reapply after rain, so what's the feckin point?  It either rains all the time, or the roads so manky you should ( blush21.gif ) wash it every night.  Sounds like another typical "let's get all the money we can from these dumb bikers" plot to me.

Then again, it won't wash off when yer steeds 'draped' IYKWIM  :laughcont:

For a bloke who runs a shop, I've always found his advice to be very good though.

He even told my pal, he'd be better off going and getting a pair of jeans custom made rather than buy a pair out of his shop.  :O Which was a first for me..

I got some and lovingly skooshed it on the CB before an old git in a passat mangled it. Yes it's good, well it appeared to need less scrubbing after I'd used it.

How is it with heat?  Can it be used on pipes and engine?

For most metal bits of the bike I usually use halfords spray grease which costs about 4 quid and stays on yet washes off with a mild scrub. in the summer I use wd40 as it makes the bike easier to clean.
Let us know if thsi scottoiler stuff is any good.
Scotslad
Essex!

The guy at HG Glasgow said that WD40 was NOT what you should use.

We all know that WD40 softens up plastic!

If U have fairings!   Then watch out!!!!
