i took there demonstrator out on saturday for about a hour and was well impressed, the fuel injection is sorted, wasnt hesitant at all like they say in the magazines :p
its bloody quick and the first thing i noticed is how light the front end is, i kept thinking i was gonna drop it on roundabouts until i got used to it, but after a few miles it was fan-bloody-tatstic! 70 to 100..ahem  was very quick and it sounds lovely.
I just had to wait untill today to see what deal they would offer me aginst my sv as the "boss" wasnt there on saturday and they had to check trade in costs etc and give me a final price. phoned me up this afternoon to confirm and i put my £100 deposit on..
Its mine.. all mine!!!

Essex_Biker Just wondering
Did you try it before you bought it?
I found that most 600s haven't got any "oumphhhh".
Just wondering.

well ive done 100 miles on it so far and i had to take it back to dealer withing a few hours tho! there was a small "dent" in the exhaust just by the weld for the bracket.. on checking 5 others in the showroom there all the same, so must be a distortion in the metal from the welding process.. have to put up with it i guess but dealer suggested i write to triumph..
the other problem which still isnt resolved is a strange vibration noise its got, not really noticeable when its stationary, but when im riding it it sounds like a typical car exhaust touching the body.. a tinny noise like something touching.. mechanic at the dealer said it could disapear as i run it in, but im not convinced.. might take the tank off and have a look...
but otherthan that im really chuffed :laughcont:
handles like a dream and really comfy :D

Have you checked out the fully comp price? On a bike of that value the extra would be well worth it if you rear end someone or crash from sliding on diesel or ice or whatever.

well i went out on saturday and looked round some bike shops. i quite fancied a new triumph daytona 600 or the zx6r however none are gonna be in the showrooms till march
so after thinking about it and realising i couldnt really afford £7000 for a new bike. ive gone for the bike ive gone on about for ages.... A TT600! in metallic blue mmmmmm
ive got £3000 part ex for my sv650s and they are ok if i take the fairing lowers off i added and sell them myself cos altho they cost £200 they dont add anything onto the resale value of the bike!
anyway a extra £2200 and the bikes mine, they even threw in a grab rail which is normaly £100! and a years free rac cover etc
picking it up on saturday

the other thing i was surprised about was that it is actually 2 inches narrower than the sv! For those who dont know me, i need to know the width cos i have to get the bike through a 30 inch wide gate down the side of my house!
trumph is 27 inches wide and sv is 29 inches so there should be no probs as my sv goes through it ok
cant wait now.. insurance has been transfered over. £300tptf, a extra £120 on top of what im paying at the mo.. not bad i guess with a years extra no claims and a year older it should be about £250 tpft next time round

I wouldn't bet on it. Make sure the £300 is for a full year not just the balance of current policy year if its been transferred, and insurance is still getting more expensive so next years additional no claims will probably be mainly wiped out by the hikes they put on.
Just trying to get you close to being on earth again!

the £300 tpft insurance is for a new policy for 12 months, i already checked that! but thanks anyway :buttrock:
yep i have had a go on one, i too have riden a couple of 600/4's before and not been that impressed, but the triumph really blew me away, it pulled away from 2000rpm in top gear, and while it doesnt have that instant ooomph of a v-twin it was still pretty rapid!
