I may inquire about some stickers for it. Anyone know any firms that do replacement decals?

Thankyou very much chaps.
Its a 1984 honda VF750FD according to the V5 Devilpaint, very good of ya, let me know what you find out.
i was thinking that i wouldn't mind labelling it with the 'rest of the world' name of VF750 Interceptor. It's like the big zed, everywhere else it's a ZX11 Ninja but here it's a ZZR. Strange really, Ive always liked bikes to have names.

While Im on the subject does anyone know anything about recovering seats? The seller said there was a rip in the seat - which there is - but that the spare seat was okay - which it isnt. So i was going to recover it. I was wondering if you can buy the material and do it yourself or maybe pay someone else to do it?
M&P have them in their catalogue from Nuvo part number 519 796 £18.99

Adam delivered the VF's today - poor bloke had some dozy bint crash into the back of his van. Still he pressed on and dropped them off at my house. He was a really nice bloke and even helped with inspecting the bike and trying out the engine and controls etc. I would definitely recommend anyone to use his service ( delivery of or collection of bikes to/from anywhere in the uk).
So the bikes. Well, one is only a partial bike but the other one is quite nice really. I spent the afternoon swearing and smoking but somewhere amongst that i managed to fit my gearchanger - albeit in a prototype form for the moment.
Took the bike out and was quite impressed by it's smoothness and torquey nature. Will have to ride it in the daylight and get used to it before i could make any informed critique but first signs are promising. It looks tidy so all in all Im quite chuffed.

I've seen spare seat covers advertised in one of the bike shop catalogues. Can't remember which one it was though.
Don't think they new covers are very expensive.

Zombie,
M&P do replacement covers for £18.00
there are a couple of places up here that recover them(from about £45.00)
Get thee to an upholsterers & buy some vinyl material & some glue. cover seat foam in cling film or similar stretch vinyl over seat glue returns under seat & heat with hairdryer/heat gun.
Has Bea got a sewing machine?
if its got complicated curves going on you may have to stitch the sides-take a pattern from the old un.
Worked for me in the past & thats what I'll be doing with Jens CG seat.
HTH.
BTW will let you know Sat PM re stickers.

Yes, I think it will, the japanese had unleaded petrol long before us and were designing engines around it. A japanese bike, will have no problems running unleaded compared to a Brit bike. I don't think you'll have any hassles.
