Just a thought, but could we have a few FAQ's pinned to the top of this section, there is a whole mine of knowlage within this section but it tends to get lost in the mists of time.

I've been thinking along similar lines. 
Instead of pinning them, maybe turn them into articles and post them on the front page. That was the reason behind starting the biker tips section with the post from riding skills. Nobody is gonna search for them, unless they know they're there.
FF, did a good post months back, about checking your battery with a multimeter which was the one that started me thinking. I wanted to test the car battery using the same method but it'd need to find it first.
