Took the bro out for a fourty mile burn today and caned the arris off the fazer.
His comment when we finally stopped?
Bikes are so much faster than cars arent they?yes they are mate. A two grand fazer can piss on most cars and even if it doesnt it feels good trying!

anyway, back to the subject in hand,
cars are bloody usefull when there's 4 inches of sodden white stuff on the roads & the gritter drivers are tucked up in bed, or you need to do the weekly shop, or cart bike body work about etc etc.....

When its icy, its very handy to have a protective shell. They've also got the added bonus of a radio to help pass the time. You can get more people and luggage in a car.
For doing the miles along contry roads without getting stressed. The bike is the best tool for me. I also know there's power there, if I need it.

Car? :tounge: Cars??
OH you mean
targets I see
Nah - carry shopping in taxi if needs must

(yes i know they're cars)
walk to work if it's snowy
go stir crazy if weather's too bad to ride
I like both TBH, but prefer bikes.
I've built custom bikes and cars, and enjoyed both.
(anyone wanna sell me a nice Shelby Cobra cheap).

Cars are ok but i have trouble getting excited about them. I saw a modena today and was distacted when an old GPZ900 rumbled by - ooh look at that, like top gun, i used to want one of them etc etce etc - modena gone from my mind in an instant to be replaced by a twenty year old one grand wreck of a bike. But thats just me.
It seems that you can get testarossa perfomrance for the price of a secoond hand knackered metro and you would never get away with parking a TVR tuscan on the pavement outside the postoffice or stripping it down in your living room for that matter ( fastfitter!)

Being a cage driver I love my car BUT.....
I am prepared to take the bull by the horns and experience riding big style this year (well as soon as I can get Ima to cough up for some kit - still need jacket and trousers!)

I've done cars for years, i am now at the stage where they do nought for me, unless it is an AC Cobra (nice choice EXUP) or a nice big yank, or a Rover SD1 V8 Vanden Plas.
I love me bikes, but due to family commitments and Oogas injurys i have to use the car more than the bike, we'd be lost without it TBH.

Well I love my car!
It's old, it never was beautiful, I didn't choose it ....... but it's lovely to drive!
And it's got a roof, and a heater....... I ride in winter but can't see the point of kitting up to go to work if it's pouring - the kitting up and removal of same takes longer than the journey!
