I'm looking for some bike kit for my 9 year old grand-daughter, helmet, gloves, jacket, boots. She's a tall skinny child so pretty small! Don't want to buy new as a) can't afford it and b) no point cos they grow so quick!

Reckon ya best bet is to ask around here Bobbi, either that or keep an eye on ebay for some cheap small stuff.
I could do with some gear for my kids,, but i manage with my son with some old Frank Thomas trousers of mine which somehow shrunk in the rain?!?!? so dont fit me any more (thats my excuse and im sticking to it !!)
an old jacket which i bought from ebay which was too short in the arms so i gave it to stepson to use when he had a bike, and a spare helmet of mine ( luckily he has a fat head like me!! lol) and my spare boots(only one size too big at mo,,, little beggars grow so quick),, got nothing to fit my daughter tho,, she's a dainty little thing for a 13 yr old. She's only been on the bikes in the garden,, and had a blast on the trike when we used to have one .
Will keep my ears open for ya tho.

Cheers wyntrblu, as I said we don't really want to buy new - Babybiker do sell s/hand stuff but very little!

However looking at their clearance bargains, I guess it's possible to kit a child out at a fairly reasonable price without compromising safety.
