Aye it's true folks beaten by a southerner :-C When i heard him warming up on the Friday night I knew it was a done deal.
I struggled on valiantly mixing drinks like crazy to get me into that almost catatonic drunken state that brings out my best snores.
All to no avail, I think I may have peaked too late though according to the nagging I got this morning from err indoors!!

Oh, I've been caught out that way before. I was given a shot on a Fireblade at a barbecue - ended up buying one. I was given the use of an RC30 on the Isle of Man. You guessed ...

There are faster bikes, but not many. And virtually none of them will cover the miles as easily.

If you found the rev limiter even in first gear you would still be over the national limit Naughty naughty.

Hence why I've never hit the rev limiter on the RC on the roads; 90+ mph in 1st, not bad for a 20 year old bike.

Umm yeah - it was a closed road or something. I tried to find the diversion to a junction that was actually *open* on the A1, and it led me onto Croft, so I opened it up overtaking. Yep, that was it.

Well, I can't have been going *that* fast. The panniers are rated to 120km/h, and they were still on when I got home...

That's why I don't have a bike with any wind protection any more. Hitting the red line in top on the Futura showed me I can't trust myself, to be sensible enough NOT to lose my license.
