Full Version: Stoked up the boiler today

Fired up the CB400 today

Went out n' got a new battery and petrol, checked oil etc and BINGO.....fired up about 5th turn over bowdown.gif great bikes do that laughcont.gif.

There was muck /carbon /smoke it must have been 5 years that that stuff, as that is when it was last started or so Im told, everything works,brakes appear good tyres are ok so It will be tested very soon, so Im dead chuffed tea.gif now I can relax abit knowing it fires up laughcont.gif laughcont.gif laughcont.gif

If it's been stood with old oil in for years, warm it up and change it. Old oil gets acidic in time. Might be worth changing the brake fluid too as it'll probably have absorbed some moisture in that time.

Twill be done sir, I was just to eager to try the bike but it did look like new ish oil in.


There will ba a strip down and powder coat the fame and bit n' bobs, will change the wheels when the bike is back together so I will be after a few bits to get it back to original..

ANYONE GOT ANY MUDGAURDS PLEASE?? I dont mind re-chromeing them or timing cover or mag cover? as I want to get rid of the finned type after market bits.
