Fed up of loading tent sleeping bag etc, on to the seat of my bike I decided to look for a rear rack. Months of looking turned up nothing suitable. (pushing my luck as the bike is nearly thirty years old). Decided to have a go at making one. Found an old Baby gate made from !0mm tubing. None of the pieces were long enough so had to do a bit of "creative" welding. Using an old pipe bender the results are not too bad.

Ok I'll order one for the Z650. Cheers.

Looks nice - almost like you knew what you were doing! lbhh.gif

One question - the mounting slots at the front - shouldn't they be holes? If you tail-load it too much, or get too much wind on it, it might try to lift. That said, I don't suppose it'd make much of a difference.

Still, a damn sight better than the luggage loading on my Ducati!

I can put my full body weight on it with no problem. So if it can take my nine stone it should be OK. lbhh.gif
