Hi all,

I'm a bit stumped with this one. My bro has a ZX6R G2 and about 3 months ago I stripped, un-seized and rebuilt the front calipers. Over the last few months they have got progressively more "grabby" as in pull the lever nothing for a wee bit then you feel it give and the brakes come on hard. But last week the pads/disks have started grinding, intermittent squeaking and clunking. So on Monday I split them again cleaned everything and worried that the dust seals were getting sandwitched between the caliper and the pistons so removed them and rebuilt with lashings of good quality copper slip.

Once on and bled they worked fine but this morning on his way to work they have started squeaking (not under braking) and clunking again verysad.gif

Just for information it has HH Ferodo pads in it fitted 3 months ago

Any ideas folks?

Cheers,
Paddy

That's probably the coppa-slip melting and running onto the discs sniffle.gif
