Because of the arthritis in my hips I need to fit a narrower tank to my GT550 trike.
Does anyone know of a narrower tank that will fit straight on?
Or any other ideas?

If you can get some measurements BG I can compare to Stephs Zephyr 550 tank.

Sorry Alex, 2 peeps on other forums beat you to it with the hammer suggestion!

My Ducati has an excellently narrow tank - it's like being on a 250! The rest of it would probably be no good for arthritis though - you'd be as well sitting in an iron maiden for comfort...

There's a thought - wonder if the spare superdream tank would or could be made to fit? Better have a look at that before I flog it!

A graduate of the FF school of spannering obviously
I've got a Suzuki GT250 tank you can have if it'd be any better, probably be a bitch to get it to fit though

Cheers FF! Prolly not worth the effort of getting it here either but thanks for the thought! Trike's in the workshop at present (service and MOT) and I go away for a week Tuesday, when I get back I'll do some measuring. I spose the main thing is the tunnel has to be large enough. But if I can't make a tank fit, I know a man who can!

No update on this cos the trikes STILL in the workshop! Should be MOT'd Monday though and hope to get it back Tuesday, doesn't give me much chance to road test it before I go to a rally on Friday and the head's been off and stuff - might bottle out and go in the car I spose.
Not complaining though - I know where I could get a much quicker job done - but it would cost three times as much!
