I realize he's good but he's been fired from so many teams now, surely there's an up and coming privateer that could do just as well??

I think Go-Show adds some colour to the bland interivews and such but there must be a lot of racers who struggle to make ends meet and deserve a shot more than he?

I don't know very much about him, so can't commment. I'm not a regular at the racing but I have been to a few events. I went along to one of the BSB meets last year and what struck me was that there are guys the racing out of the back of a camper van. There was one bloke across from us who was in a battered old van. It was only him and his wife/girlfriend or sister. Who were getting the bike ready for the racing. This bloke was up against the big boys with the sponsorship deals. I watched the bloke racing and it was obvious that his bike was no match for the rest but I was still impressed that the bloke had enough balls to go out there and do it.

There's guys who would give their right nut to be in that position and other who take it for granted. Some folk don't realise they're lucky.. buttrock.gif

We used to proddy race a 250 lc years ago-as much for the laughs as anything else, we had a great time-one of the things that bothered me(apart from the sidecar guys-really wierd) was although there were rules & marshalls/scrutineers the guys with the money always came out tops.
the whole series was supposed to be about grass roots racing, but soon the paddock-camping area was overrun by one guy with his artic full of bikes-we had a spare engine between 3 of us & sprockets if we were lucky.
we still had a good time(friday night getting p*ssed with all the others-practise on sat a then racing sat pm & sun) the "sponsored" guy was never to be seen with us "commoners"
Make you wonder tho-how much better we all might have been if we were sober for practise wwww.gif
