I recently bought a 1983 Goldwing GL1100 and intend ridin Scotland soon, however whilst bleeding front caliper right hand brake found that some idiot had stripped thread off and therefore the bike is useless unless i can find someone with a right front, twin piston, caliper in good working order and capable of being bled.

Can it not be helicoiled or have a blob of weld in the hole and then get it re-tapped? For anything like that I've used the little engineering places you find in most trading estates. The ones that say they rebuild gearboxes etc.

Not a huge Engineering problem. Anyone with a Lathe and a drill could sort it out. Drill out old thread re tap to next size and make a new bigger bleed nipple. Sorted.

David Silver spares, or any breakers-the caliper is common to a lot of hondas that age.
