I have done some plastic welding in the past but have never been too successful. It always seems weak after the op. Am I supposed to add more plastic or just use what is already there. Also, where can I get Yamaha blue paint from? I don't know the code and I don't think the American version of B&Q is going to stock it.
Just as a thought. If anyone is searching for decals for their bike. There is a guy in Malta who advertises on EBay for about 20 bucks a set and they are really good. I just received mine and they are excellent.

you should be runing a bead of plastic behind the crack-but some plastics take better than others & you have to know which stick to use on which plastic.
your best bet for a colour match is to take a panel to a spray shop suppliers & ask them to do you a direct match-if you havent painted b4 its going to be fun/expensive. the R6 is a candy blue ,so you need a silver base 1st, then a thin coat of candy, then laquer.
