I have been down the road (Get off's) a few times on the ole R6 and the one thing I am dreading doing some damage to is my carbon Yoshi. Just wondered what it is you hold most sacred on your bike in the event of a fall ??? buttrock.gif buttrock.gif buttrock.gif

The thing I hold most sacred that is 'on' my bike is me! The rest is just plastic and metal which can be replaced.

I 2nd Ians comments-tho i'm not in the habit of dropping my bikes..................

The most important thing on my bike would be me! but if i had to save one thing on my RD 350 it would be the paint work, it's just so me. I have to say it, this bike has already been written off and resurected so fcrossed.gif it won't happen again.

If it was my FZ 600, the only thing worth saving is the Micron system. It's a great reliable bike don't get me wrong but theres no sentimental attachment.

Plastics are a defo. You can pick up the rest pretty cheap.

Although I hope I never have to test this theory out. fcrossed.gif

after me it would have to be paint, mine was done by dp so i'd never hear the end of it if i scratched it.

i have been warned that if i have another off & come down hard on my right legthey will not beable to repair any damage as it has been completely rebuilt & i will lose my leg

Engine casings for me, and ignition cover especialy, if that goes then there is a good chance of the crank being bent and then the engine is shagged, to old to be a viable repair.

I am more aware of this since my engine bars were trashed earlier this year (not by me i hasten to add,).

But having said all this, after witnesing a couple of offs i am constantly reminded of my mortality.... still ride like a loon some times though.... !

I tend to love my bikes while i have them and fret over every bit! Its all just 'stuff' though and can be fixed/replaced with usually no more than aggrovation and expense. For me I have to g along with others and say that i worry about myself more than anything else. In particular i ride without my false leg a lot of the time and worry about smashing my stump into the road - thats gonna smart in the morning son! Dont believe my avatar - the jeans wearing was purely for the photo!
