I'm in Nottingham and on the hunt for a stupid bike and have focussed my attention on an early model Yamaha R1.

I'm keeping my eyes open on eBay, MCN, PistonHeads and Autotrader, but if anyone knows of one that might be available, that'd be awesome.

Looking to pay about £2.5k, £3k very max.

Yea - just went out for a blast on an '01 model and couldn't believe how good it was I have to get one...shame that was overpriced at £3999 for 16,000 miler!

I think the restoration of his Mustang is taking priority & theres a Lambo replica waiting in the wings to be started soon too.
Havent seen it out since last year it just sits being cosseted in the garage if there's a hint of moisture in the air.
