Well the Daytona hasn't sold so looks like it's staying grin.gif

So my question to you all is:

I think I probably want to personalise it a bit so what would you suggest to do to modify it from stock? Can suggest anything (would rather not re-spray though) so let your imagination loose and stick your suggestions up cool2.gif

Great looking bike anyway mate, leave it as it is!
Drey
Tail tidy perhaps with new indicators front and back.
Micron (or similar) race can, other than that, leave it as is.
BikerGran
Waht about a nice custom exhaust to start with-

X-Generation
Mally
The triple pipe exhaust on their pics would look good. Especially seeing it is a triple. beer.gif

Turn it into a semi naked??????

How long and how many miles since the suspension was overhauled?

No idea, only had this one a few months.
Nemo
I know you said no respray but personally spraying it the nice red colour would make it look better! grin.gif Am not surprised a silver one did not sell.

If it's got as little as 10000 miles on the clock £200 for refreshing the fork oil and springs could utterly transform the way it rides & handles. Very few people bother with servicing the suspension.

It'd be the very first thing I'd spend money on. beer.gif

I think it looks great just the way it is. Silver is a nice, discreet colour.

Half a gallon of petrol & a match?

only joking-honest.

Do you think he is made of money - seen the price of petrol.....

Firelighters might be cheaper lbhh.gif

Hell considering how high its got in the past, a 10 year old single malt might be cheaper than petrol...

I like a bit of a riot, so I'd change that can first. Something a bit shorter! Not a stubby, but certainly shorter.

Asides from front springs/oil, I'd leave it at that (except maybe for a tail tidy).

Johnny
insolentminx
sorry it didn't sell sad1.gif

i'd suggest the same as everyone else.

Tail tidy
LED or flush indicators
new can or full system
colour coded mirrors?
suspension refurb

grin.gif and why not spend some money on an advanced riding course or track days to help you get the best out of your transformed beast? lbhh.gif
GrahamB
Right then...

1. Do something about that exhaust, just look at the length of it ooh2.gif (nice carbon or titanium jobbie would look pretty damn decent)

2. Tail tidy
3. Smaller LED indicators all round.
4. Mirror screen.
5. Clear rear light

That ought to do it lbhh.gif
Defiler
I can't believe nobody's said "streetfighter it" - that usually appears in the first 5 mins...

Dunno - powder-coat the wheels maybe, and see if you can get a tail-tidy / smaller lights with LEDs.

Paul
I like the shape of the bike, so if it was me I would be looking at a custom paint job (there is a bloke around the Bristol area who is nae bad at it lbhh.gif ) and maybe do something with the exhaust.

But if it was my bike, and I rode it often, my back would be more shagged that it is now cry.gif
stranger
i would.......

give it to me....i need a new bike

lbhh.gif

apart from that theres nothing wrong with it....i like tis nice

lbhh.gif lbhh.gif sorry ive been on coke cola all day im as high as a kite

Maybe cos if you streetfightered it you'd get something like this - which is a standard model!

AllyBally
Matt black paint, junk all the non essential gubbins and rat it mad1.gif
brendan002
Having seen BG's picture of the standard model that is exactly what I would do. Was going to suggest it anyway but didn't know how it would look but after that picture I much prefer it naked.

Of course I am biased riding a Hornet!
AllyBally
No No No,,, def matt black (or DIY camo) cargo netting , a few bits of road kill, and some work with ya trusty angle grinder, , , Defo the way to go buttrock.gif mad1.gif

Thanks for the ideas all.

The can is sorted as I have a Blue Flame high level titanium for it, just haven't fitted it.

Like the idea of a matt black paint job but can't really afford it at the moment. One for the future I think as I have decided that even if I get another bike I will keep this one.

Good call on the suspension as well. Will look into that.

Wow

That would be because i havnt been on much lately.. lbhh.gif .... and yup, i would get that plastic off... far too angular for the rest of the bike, expose that frame and engine they are after all the heart of the bike and look lovely.

high level zorst to show off the single sided swinger.... decent colour.. Job done, that is personalised, under tray indicators etc is following the herd... eyebrow.gif

That is the Street triple which is shorter and a complete new frame design, but the daytona would look similar if single seated
