Today I have been shafted for the second (and last) time by these people.

I have insured with them for about 4 years and have posted that they are good and give low quotes, but I have had the same occurrence with them twice and enough is enough.

Rang them tonight to get the Daytona put on the insurance instead of the Triple and they came back saying that the insurer would only do it if the bike was garaged. They have done this before when I have tried to change bike and I just assumed it was what it was, but again they have been unable to offer the policy and surprise surprise, again once they worked out their cut there was nothing to refund when I had to cancel the policy.

This time there was 4 months left on the insurance and the last time they did it there was 6.

So not only am I out of pocket completely, but I have also lost another years no claims because they can't provide the service.

I believe the person I spoke to gave their name as Mr D Turpin.

Insurance, the gift that keeps on taking eh veryangry.gif

Be warned guys!

cr@p ...

sorry to hear that mate.

I'm with AQuote too, but will be changing as my insurance is up for renewal on the 15th December, and they've offered me the same price including my new 1 years NCD.

They were a right pain when i had to make ammendments though. Charged £35 when i put my mileage up from 3000 to 7000... they were the cheapest for me at the time though... but now it's time to move on methinks.

so sorry for your troubles sad1.gif

Personally I just kept the insurance policy going on the bike that i'd sold....

knew I wasnt going to get much if anything back and at least that way I didnt lose the NCB

i find its best to avoid changes mid policy, often hard to avoid if you change bike.

but that's why i have one sitting in my garage i can't ride and can't wait to ride :-(

also now can't ride the other one as they wanted £35 to change the number plate that i've now placed on my new bike. sod paying £35 for 2 months when i doubt i'd ride anyway.

...well i spoke to Simply Bikes, and they offered me £400 for my 900 Custom with a years NCB £200 excess...

I called AQuote to politely decline their 'Highway' renewal price of £868 as I'd found one elsewhere for much cheaper.
The guy asked what i'd been quoted by Simply Bikes... went quiet for a minute and came back saying they can do it for £384 with Norwich Union as the underwriter and only £175 excess!! grin.gif

Almost £500 knocked off the policy, and the £400 excess knocked down to £175 just by calling them and threatening to leave!! buttrock.gif

I can't really turn that down. £384 is by far the cheapest I ever thought I'd be offered seeing as most places were quoting £700-800.

I'm well chuffed.

Just hope i don't have the same issues as you've had 955. sad1.gif

I've no intentions of changing the policy now though. They've got all my mods listed and my mileage is increased to 7000 which i doubt i'll ever go over. And i'm not gonna be getting another bike for at least a year or so.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles though sad1.gif
