To be honest, if you're going to buy it new, it might be work your while just buying a hack and trying to get through your test instead. The mito is undoubtedly a fine looking machine but if you get through the test, it won't be long until you're looking for something bigger. We all say we won't but it always seems to happen.
If money isn't a concern though, you could just say to hell with it and go for it but expect to have some repair bills along the way. I just heard of a bloke who owns a Aprilla 125. He melted the head on it and now can't afford to get it fixed.

There's the risk that we'll drop it and neglect it in some way because we're building up our knowledge of bikes.
I don't know what they're like for the test though. Maybe DP can answer that , since he trains CBT and DAS folk, he might have some experience of trainees on these.
Everything I've mentioned though has been for practical reasons. If you really want it and know the good points and bad, whatever decision you make will be the right one.
