Been for my 1st lesson today grin.gif
I have been told that i did really well,
emergency stop = spot on grin.gif
U-turn = lbhh.gif i did do it in the end lbhh.gif
Gear changing = It only had 5, i was looking for the 6th lbhh.gif
Slowing/stopping = I got the hang off it now grin.gif

I had told the instructor, before we set off,
"Dont make me go fast!"
When i did my cbt, he kept telling me to open
the throttle, but i was too nervous, so i didn't.

I was in front for most of the way, which i was fine with,
but told to slow down and wait for the other guy,
who was behind the instructor.
Then i had to go behind!
I dont like been behind, i was leaving to big of a gap,
so the instructor said to me, " catch up speedy, give it some throttle"

He said to me when we got back,
"what is it with you girls, you speed off when in front,
but slow down when behind".

I dont know what it is, i just dont like been behind!!

Anyways, i right enjoyed myself, i was nervous at first,
but once i got going, i was off grin.gif grin.gif

Well done glad to see you enjoyed it so much. I am the other way round after having my instructor follow me for 3 days and then the examiner i would rather follow than lead. grin.gif

nod.gif Funky little things those. Great to learn on and (once you get the hang of it) it's REALLY easy to perform the Uturns on it.

My instructor said they are easy because it has such a low centre of gravity rolleyes.gif
That's what my instructor said anyway- I've been riding mine for nearly 2years before then though, so I just knew exactly what MY machine could do:D.

He didn't like the way I could balance it at a standstill (motoX style) lbhh.gif
Tee-Bird
good that you enjoyed it..... cool2.gif

I think I was realy lucky as I had my instructor all to myself, he only ever had one pupil at a time and I was very glad I found him, we are still friends now.

Sounds like you had a great day - keep it up and keep enjoying it.

Well done Jo! Glad it's going so well beer.gif Keep us posted on how you're getting on. Sounds like you'll have no problems at all moving on to the 500. Don't worry - they're easier than the 125s. They have more balance and the controls are smoother. Glad you're enjoying it grin.gif
speedyjo
I have a 125 lesson this sat, and then they will decide if im ready for the 500.
As soon as im on the 500, i plan to get about 3 lessons a week in.

speedyjo
Had another good lesson today,
only got told off once for speeding rolleyes.gif
Managed my U-Turns grin.gif
Next week i have a 2 hour lesson on the 125,
then another 2 hours on the 500 grin.gif
Then, if need be, i might have another 2 hours after that,
it all depends on how it goes grin.gif
I know 6 hours sounds a lot in one day,
but if thats what its going to take to do it, i will grin.gif
Fazerstun
Sounds like yer enjoying yerself girl - good for you grin.gif
I loved my lessons, but I preferrred going behind the instructor (enough of the smut already you boys rolleyes.gif) so he couldn't see any mistakes I made wink1.gif
devilpaint
have you booked your theory & test?

its all very well doing lesson after lesson, but if you have to wait for a test you might go "off the boil" as it were.
also 6 hours in 1 day is a LOT of learning-you might burn yourself out.
obviously you know best how you deal with stuff, but from my not inconsiderable experience, even with a break in between lessons a lot of people end up doing worse by the last session & go away feeling less than upbeat about the whole experience. which means starting again next session, usually.

my advice would be to work out a schedule for your test & do a lesson a week leading up to it.
we probably have a different set up to the school you are with, it can take up to 6 weeks to get a test here sometimes, so we might take a slower pace than yourself, we also usually only do 4 2 hour sessions with full car licence holders, obviously that isnt a hard & fast rule, but us Geordies dont mess about & are almost as tight with money as yorkshire folk grin.gif

however you do it, you are obviously enjoying it, so good luck with the rest of the training.
