HI,

I want to streetfighter my TLs as I took off theplastics last summer and found it looked really good without ! Plus it costs too much to by untrashed plastics to bolt back on ..... lol

But I want some new clocks and don't know what to do or where to go for replacements. Any ideas ?

Cheers !

Welcome Simon,

RavinMadrider seems to be our streetfighter expert. He might be able to point you in the right direction.

Bit hope you stick around anyway. beer.gif

Hi Simon and welcome to our happy virtual home.

MMM.. streetfighters... my favorite, the TL makes a nice Streetfighter.

Clocks are a tricky one with streetfighters, i would asume the TL has an electronic revcounter and possibly the speedo too.

You can get the mini speedo/revcounter in electronic set up but they arnt cheap, i dont know what your budget is, you are looking at about £35 for cable clocks and about £50/60 for the electronic ones (dont hold me to that).

Some people keep the origional clocks, or you could look to find a set of clocks that you prefer from another bike, but the wireing can be a bit of a bugger.

i personaly like the mini speedo's, i have one on my CB900 but i only put that on in case i get pulled, for about 6 months i had no clocks at all.

You can get the mini speedo's with white faces too that look prety trick.

I hope this helps.

Ace.

(This TL belongs to a mate of mine and he calls it "TLZEEBUB", i have no idea why)

Mate of mine has a full speedo / rev counter / idiot lights and temp guage thingy on his bike but i believe it cost nearly a grand. Ive bought many cars and bikes for less than half that!

Another mate has a harris magnum and he uses a cycle computer thing that cost twenty qid from halfords. AQnother bloke i know has a tony foale Q2 and he also uses a halfords cycle computer thingy.

the Q2 needs looking at so get this down ya! ( i hastebn to add that this is not the actual Q2 from thebike meet but its exactly the same other then the colour - check out those handlebars!)

Not sure if you can adapt these to fit multi cylinder bikes, but they do have a tech support line.
