If you are I would suggest ordering some economy ones from M&P. I just received my rear hose and just waiting for the front ones to come.

Don't look to bad for economy huh?!
£29.99 for front and back?!

Have recently orded the same for my trusty ( rusty$ crusty) VT as the original front hose has started to become very 'spunky' (<< note the technical terminology) and soft in the part of the hose which is sleeved, its starting to 'weep' slightly under harsh braking and is quite soft, so i know it has become porous, so will absorb air and moisture.
I noticed it over the last few weeks commute to work as the front brake has become progressively weaker, had thought at first would need to bleed it again,, but then noticed the spunky seepage from the protective sleeving where it runs behind the head light.
my first thought for replacement was having one made by the firm that does all our hydraulic hoses for work,,,, unfortunately they have no hose small enough,,, or the unions to fit,,,, shame really as it would work out about a tenner or so less ( more BEER)

Well goodridge arriving when what I ordered was called M&P economy brake hose is bloody good. I was half expecting some non branded SS hoses in a plain box.

yeah the one ive ordered for the VT is sposed to be Goodridge, i have a full set of goodridge hoses on the CB (posh anodised ones) so will compare the quality of the "economy" hose to the 'dogs dangly bits' hoses on the CB, reckon i had me pants pulled down just to have nice anodised fittings

.
Oh weell,,, will have to get the boss to get a new hose supplier so i can get some cheap bargains.

Wow - they've come down in price, unless it's a cockup on M&P"s behalf - I bought a complete set of the full stainless (but not mega fancy) Goodridge hoses for my CBR, can't remember if it was off eBay or via Goodridge themselves, but they were far more than 30 squids - maybe 70-80 or so.

How is the nipple broken?? Is the top broken off, or all of it? You should be able to remove it fairly easily with an 'easi-out' or stud extractor so long as you give the surrounding area of the caliper (just around the nipple) a brisk tapping with a small hammer / hammer and small punch (dont belt the daylight out of it tho) and plenty of penetrating oil

Over tightened it and broke the top off. Need to go to the tool shop and get an easy out set.

Shops are clearing stocks any way they can due to "the crunch". Well done you.

Probably asked you this before but do you live near or in harleston mrteapot? There was a bike like the one in your profile used to be ridden by a lady that worked in the local shop there.
