It wasn't all that long ago that Hailwood said that the 70hp 500cc MV-4 was the perfect bike for the TT
But 180 hp??? Better get a can and some K&N's then

Joking and prevaricating aside this bike shows yet again what fantastic bits of engineering bike engines are these days. a thousand cc putting out 180 bhp is nothing short of phenominal. Especially when you consider these things are a compromise machine - i mean they have been designed for everyday use as well as track use.
People will buy these and punt on about power commanders and yoshi systems et all giving an extra two or three horsies and better midrange!
Have you seen the 10R? Its no bigger than the 6R. this bike is another example of the march of power. Twenty years ago race bikes would have been behind this thing on power and handling and braking etc. Imagine if cars had gone like this? We'd be buying fifteen grand cars with active suspension and sequential boxes and three hundred and sixty horsy two litres without turbos as family 'fun' saloons!
Mind you the little yellow devils have yet to invent brake calipers that dont stick themselves together at the first sign of winter or nuts and bolts that fur and rust if you breathe on them. And we're still using fecking chains for chists sake!
