Me and my mate are planning on dipping into our savings and going racing next season. We figure a mini-twin series will be right up our street and with his mechanical genius and my lack of fear we may just quality for a race!

So, does anyone know of any ratty/crashed SV650s about? Surprisingly, eBay doesn't seem to have many at all at the moment!

I reckon about £1500 max would get something that's mechanically sound. We're not fussed about the aesthetics and the road legal stuff, we just need a solid straight frame, straight forks and a working engine.

Well, yea, £1500 would get pretty good bike, but we want to do a lot of work ourselves and get it running to our liking, hence a ready track bike wouldn't be ideal.
