Nice- not too sure about the front though (but if you like it then it can't be THAT bad).

So for the obvious question....

'Ow Much??
Ian
a bit of money and an ear bashing from Bea by the sound of it. laughcont.gif She must have known it would happen eventually. I take it the scoot is definitely an ex-scoot then.
BikerGran
Mmm, nice!

Wonder if I'll have the same problem with changing to a trike?

How long were you a scooter-boy Zombie?
devilpaint
well you've had just about everything else-what next a cruiser? & what happened to "i'm sick of gearchanges-lets get a big twist n go"?
fickle m8 thats what you are.
also, i just had a guy up from colchester barracks for his test(dec 30th) & told him to look out for the loon on the t-max(i asumed youd be getting another-since you liked it soooo much) i better get in touch & tell him to watch out for the fazer now!
looks very nice m8 but what you gonna do with all that polish you have left over-not much bodywork to play with is there?

.................................I'LL BE BACK..........but I did exspect a big Z tho ..

I have it on good authority that there's a gutter full o' snails at the side of the A1M that are chanting IV'E GOT YOUR NUMBER and we know the bike.

Make sure the TAX disc is on tight my son grin.gif

I have been looking for a cheap scoot but everything ive seen around has benn nought but piles of scrap with a silent 's'.

It seems ( according to my solicitor) that the insurance case is likely to go for months even if its settled 'quick' so i needed sometghing to get around on. I fancied a honda silverwing 600 on ebay but it went for three and a half grand.

i decided it would have to be another bike because i can get value for money if you see what i mean. then i was in colchester motorcycles when i was asked by soime bloke what i thought of the fazer. I gave it a look over and it looked close to mint. It had 14000 miles from 1998 and a service history and mots to 'prove' this. When it was fired up it sounded really sweet running and it also had new chain and sprockets on it. I told the prospective buyer it looked twisted in the frame and i was him id leave it well alone. Then i negotiated the asking price from £2500 to £2000 as the bloke drudged disappointed from the shop. Ha!

Ive stuck it on my card and tarnsferred it to another to take advantage of six months interest free on balance tranfers and hope to settle it when i get the insurance money. If they decide to fix the scoot ill prolly flog the fazer but if they pay out on it then ill have a holiday with the change! ( fingers crossed it all goes well!)

Im still in the doghouse but life has taught me that if you want something you just have to go for it and sort the consequences out afterwards - she'll get over it!
ZOMB!E
It dont half feel like a toy bike though - its so small and light!

FICKLE? ME? Definitely!
ZOMB!E
Oh yeah, as for the ugly fairing. Well i always thought it was ugly but its funny hopw ones perception changes when one buys something isnt it! - now i think its really nice!
messymuppet
it's very shiny + looks nice (for a fazer! wink1.gif)
Ooga's gonna be well jealous! She really wants a fazer!

but good on ya, sounds like a BARGAIN + if u really want something, may aswell go for it + be happy! smile1.gif

Nice looking bike Zomb, you're making me jealous. cry.gif

Likingitspicy
It looks luvleeeeeeee.

I was a bit naughty today. I rode a Fazer600.

It wasn't mine,

I stayed in first gear

for about 100yards.

but boy did I feel great.

I have been offered the chance of jointly owning it, but I said no, I want a bike of my very own.
essex_biker
i dunno what am i gonna do with you!

ZOMB!E
Is that the ebay one or would you go for a new-un? ( fazer pencilled in for mid week collection)
essex_biker
thats one on ebay but ive been giving thought toa new one, i could get £5500 for the daytona . a new sv for 3999 and have 1500 topay off the loani got on the daytona.. so new bike and no loan.. sounds very tempting..

But i do love the looks of the daytona but it still isnt 100% running ok..

Good choice Zomb, bloody good all rounder, just read a bike artilcle saying the old fazer is better than the new one in the mid range. Shame its in red as the blue ones are better looking. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the perceived ugly looks grow on you. The mr practical of bikes. Any info you may want on it may be found at www.foc-u unofficial fazer club. Cheers MAlly
ZOMB!E
Cheers mally!

I watched it going through the workshop today ( pre sale service) and talked to the mechanic ) He owns his own business TOTAL TRACTION and simply leases the workshops in Colchester motorcycles servicing their bikes and doing their own business, so he has no interest in wether i buy the bike or not, and he reckons its a sweet machine and not a dog dressed up to look nice - which is nice!

Im really lloking forward to getting it home and then getting the Kliktronic sorted - gonna be a half broom handle gaffered to the gear lever for a week or so!

It is a shame its red - the speed block looks the nuts on the fazer wether in yellow or black/red stylee. but never mind - the redll do for now! You never know if it turns out that i keep it ( what dya mean six months before i chop it in for something else? As if.............) and the insurance sort out me cheque then maybe i might splash some wad on the bike in the form of can and shock and Powercutz and Devilpaint cosmetic jobbee.

this is though assuming the scoot is written off. If it isnt then maybe i will have to sell the fazer because if i sell the scoot im certain it will lose a shedload from the purchase price.

regardless of anything though i feel like a bloke again with me new bike. I have to admit that ia am far more excited about the fazer than i ever was aboput the scoot - superb bike as it was - it just wasnt a motorcycle in my eyes, it was always a scooter, and i would spend the time defending it against the knockers ( ooer missus). I spose this has taught me that brilliant as all the big scoots are theres no substiute for me at least in terms of it having to be a motorcycle in shape and style and ill live with the gearchange problems. Mind you i have ever been fickle about these things and just love chopping and changing bikes - if i had mny way id have a different bike every month till ifd owned them all! the grass is always greener and all that! Still have to say the best bikes Ive ever owned have been my two Zeds - vfr's my backside, they do nothing that a big zed cant do better!

Very nice bike Zombie - good deal too. What's your commission if I take you along to buy my next bike ....? laughcont.gif

I loved my 400 Super Four - then I took a Fazer out for a test ride and had my first proper motorcycle "Widescreen" moment when I opened the throttle in 2nd gear ... the 400 seemed awfully slow after that.

Good health to enjoy.

Had I been in your position, I woulda done exactly the samed thing... but then again, I am biased hehe grin.gif
