Your recommendations please bearing in mind I'm not sylph like.

The weise gear seems to be quite good. I've had a pair of the waterproof trousers for a few years and they still do the job. They were also lined aswell and although I've struggled to get them on at the side of the road. I've never ripped them.

Weise is what we wear, (Ali & Ace) there great value, quilted lining nice and warm, never been wet yet and they are 3 years old and i wear mine several days a week in the winter, the only problem with mine is their not quite long enough, i have 36 inside leg but apart from that oh yeah and the ankle zips are gone on mine otherwise there ggrreeaat.

I've just checked out the Weise stuff. They go up to XXXL . But their XXXL is same as XL elsewhere

Ian, It might be worth while even trying them on. There's a few suppliers north of the border. Mine are a reasonable fit but can't remember what size they are. Might be XL's.
