Leon
seeing as someone sold a load for virtually nothing not so long back...

a 125 motorbike. T&T and not an enduro/sports/etc - something friendly and the more cruiser-ish the better.

Hell even an old MZ Saxon would be nice.

Affordable and somewhere within easy reach of a new CBT-ed rider. While I would give it a go, the thought of several hundred mile round trip for my first outing is little... well... scary.

So, anyone got something or know someone who has? Please?
BikerGran
Well you could always phone about this one . I don't know if they've still got it, I emailed them the other day but haven't had a reply, which means either it's sold or they don't answer their e-mails!

That link cos it only shows the phot but it came from Phil's Motorcycle Mall in Bournemouth. It's still a long way but don't you know anyone who could ride it back for you? Or trailer it?
StevePJ
If you are still after a bike, i have a Kawasaki KH125. MOT'd and Taxed. Good cond. 95 M reg in black. Runs well. Only want £300 for it. Live in Slough a mile from Jct 5 M4...Can send photos if interested. was the wife's but she has now passed her DAS and has an ER-5

Slough to Bristol 97 mile. probs 120 not using motorways.

cool2.gif like a nice day out on a sunny day. Train to slough in the morning and a nice bimble back in the afternoon.

Much much cheaper to hire a van (assuming you have a car licence and don't know someone who already has one) for the day. Its only costing me £72 including VAT and insurance for three days for the van to take the Bessa down to Dr Rod's. You can also do it at your convenience whereas Headstocks give you a 3 hour slot which is at their convenience. Or of course if its rideable then you could always get someone to take you pillion there and ride back. Price of petrol only then.
messymuppet
can't hire a van, i'm only 22 sad1.gif
might be able to hire ace tho..... if i speak nicely to him
or go with the pillion (on dan's bike) there, and ride back, but it's quite a long way,

also, he's selling it on ebay + already got a bidder, so assume he'd have to sell it to them
StevePJ
If you are interested let me know. I have been messed about by two people already on ebay....

Look at this for an email from one:

cheers steve, but doesn't look like i'll be able to get over there! It really is quite a long way just for a 125.

Seems odd that that guy can't read u're details (ie. tax and electric start) and can't search the internet for the details (eg. type of brakes, bhp)
very odd

hope u get it sorted + get some better bidders!!!
