Just got back from the (attempted) BSB round today, lots and lots and lots of snow came down this morning, I woke up to several inches of snow! Here's a few pics...

Edit: The bike isn't mine, but I don't envy the guy who had to get that back one piece!

Someone's knocked that last pic over. sniffle.gif

We're pretty lucky in Liverpool regarding the weather, when it snows, the "Smack'eds" rob it on us to sell it on to the Eskimos. grin.gif

Been planning this trip today with my brother and a few mates for weeks... Was really looking forward to it!

Got up at 6:30am, wasn't raining/snowing and the roads were also dry.

30 minutes later, a bit of fine drizzle started coming down as we opened the garage door. So, we decided to put our waterproofs on. By the time we did that, there was 1-2 inches of snow on the ground, full on blizzard. sad1.gif

When it calmed down, we decided to see if we could get off the housing estate and up to the main road, hoping that would be clear. 200 yards to the main road, my bike was pretty planted, but my brother nearly came off 3 times. We could see the main road, no different to the estate Oo1.gif So we got off, turned the bikes round, and put them back in the garage. Ummed and aahd for about 20 minutes about whether it was settling or not, and decided to bin the trip. Got hold of the others we were going to be meeting, and they had also attempted to go, but turned round and headed home after a few miles (not as bad where they were).

Regretting the decision towards lunch time when the snow was starting to melt, but then happy with the decision once we saw that the racing had been cancelled.

Ho hum... Thruxton in two weeks time it is then!!!

Jon.
