I read your instructions about sticking stickers ON, but how about getting them off?
I know about using a hairdryer, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, that brings the sticker off in bits, and what I want to do is to remove a sticker from my tank and keep it, when I part with the bike. Any ideas?

Bg, depends on the sticker really, if it's a big solid one, like a litho print or screen print (eg lots of colours) Then the hairdryer/credit card approach should work. you're gonna have to be careful though.
warm up the sticker at one edge and ease the card underneath liftin g gently as you go keep applying small amounts of heat and working the card under (a bit like lifting wallpaper off).
If it's a made up type with 3 or 4 different colours and loads of tiny bits (think red sunrays coming from an orange sun)
then it's never gonna come off easily. gimme a day or two tp have a ponder and i'll get back (i've got an idea but i don't know if it'd work)
is it the one under the stripe on your GT? if it is it looks like a solid yellow with red over the top try the hairdryer/card but be patient a do a small bit at a time.
lift the sticker at 45 degrees and work slowly.

Thanks Ima, I'll try it like that - it's not the long thin one, it's a round one 3 or 4 inches diameter from when I did the National Rally in 2001. I suppose I don't really need it cos I've got the trophy, but.........

As in-- can your blokey make a replica of the sticker that will no doubt get obliterated?

if it's just for posterity and you don't wanna stick it back on the bike and if you can get me a hi-res shot of it face on without flash, then yes (gasps for air)
