I just started having a little play with an old Superdream I've had sitting around in the garden for a couple of years.I last started it a few months ago. The damn thing started first kick and instantly settled down to a gentle tickover. I love Hondas!! Every Kawasaki I've had has been a bitch to start if you
leave them for a few days.

Despite being told by all and sundry mine was a lemon, it started after 3 hrs of fiddling and a replacement solenoid, after being left completely untouched for over 4 years.

All I'm waiting on now is a speedo cable... smile1.gif then MOT I can't wait!!

Have to agree with the Kawasaki thing. Mine are right guggers if left for a few days.
Yet the Mrs little Honda Cd250 will start after a couple of weeks of no use.

Sorry to pee on your parade but my Honda is a git-wizard when the temp drops below 10 degrees. Wothcha got to say about that?

Generally I would agree about the Kwaks - went to start mine on Sunday, after a couple of weeks in the garage to go down to Weymouth. Because of previous experience, before I tried I told myself 'if it doesn't start I won't be going'.

Worked at treat, started straight away, tho I did have to play with the throttle a bit before it would run cleanly.

My son in law, however, has an old ('88 I think) Kwak GPZ1000RX which he only starts about once a year to go for MOT - and it always starts first time!

the little superdream out on the back green started without much bother once we put a new battery in her...my Kawa always lay out in all weathers and would be there for a week or 2 and would always start on the touch of the button... my blade however plays up when shes hot

Ahh my 1984 Honda GL was a little beauty and by all accounts she should have stayed on the scrap heap from whence she was found... but with some tweeking and new rectifier etc she was fine.... there was a knack to starting her but she saw me through my first few months of riding.... then I got my brand new Kwak... which, of course, is a total dream....
