Im a bit lost here.... can someone tell me how your defining PERSONALITY?....cos i thought we all were/had one

Well if I was voting for a 'Personality of the year' I'd want to vote for someone whose personality stands out, not someone who seems ordinary and boring.

Is this supposed to be for the most accomplished sportsperson this year, or for the most likable?

If the former, then fair enough, but if the latter - WTF is the point?

We might as well pass John Gielgud and Ben Kingsley over for the Oscars and such awards in that case. Give them to whichever actress has the biggest tits instead.

These people are not supposed to be likable personalities. They are there to do a job, ie win competitions in the sport of their choice and make money doing so. They are not there to be liked.
Many of the greatest, highly awarded, most successful, critically acclaimed musicians are beer-swilling, drug-taking, wife-beating (and many other bad things) arrisholes... but they made the songs that are the definitive soundtracks to our lives and that is what we love them for.

Who cares if Bobby Random-Bloke is a likeable fella who kisses kids and has a winning smile. Can he blast a bike round a racetrack corner at a zillion MPH and win the bloody race? If so, he's in the running.
